A wee little survey from Lizzie

The Rules
Respond and rework: answer the questions on your blog, replace one question with a question of your own. Tag eight other people.

-What is your current obsession?
I have several: Harry Potter, taking pictures of EVERYTHING, coffee, and staying pale through the summer.

-When is the last time you've written a postcard or hand written letter?
Too long ago, I think at least two or three.

-What's for dinner?
Goulash(if that's how you spell it..) and bread. My favorite part is the bread ♥

-What would you eat for your last meal?
A bunch of things that don't really go together, but I love them: Salt potatoes that are really salty and buttery, my mom's spaghetti, italian bread and butter, my mom's pampered chef thing that has cream cheese and chocolate and is the best thing ever, nutella, mocha frappachino's, coffee with cream and sugar, canolies, peanut butter and oreos, quesadilla's from Moe's, and anything else that might strike my fancy. As you can see, I love food.

-What's the last thing you bought?
Hmmm, that's a good question. I think it might have been subway, like last week. I haven't been out of the house much....

-What are you listening to right now?
Giving Up by Ingrid Michaelson and my dad is watching the news.

-What do you think of the person who tagged you? Well, she didn't exactly tag me, but I love her blog! It's so adorable and very honest in a way.

-If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished, anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be?
I'm so typical, but London England. I would love to live there.

-Which language do you want to learn?
In school I take German, but that's just school German and we honestly don't learn much, so I would love to better my education in that, but along with that I would love to learn French, Gaelic, and Latin.

-What's your favourite quote?
Again, I have several! "-after all, to the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure." Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone.
"I won't regret 'cause you can grow flowers from where dirt used to be." the song Merry Happy, Kate Nash
"I suspect Nargles are behind it" Luna Lovegood, the Harry Potter series
and "Everything happens for a reason"

-What are you favorite colours?
Black, light pink, most shades of blue, some shades of green, most shades of purple, yellow(except mustard), white

-What is your dream job?
It changes a bit every day, but right now I would want to be a writer for Vogue but also a part time photographer for the same magazine because I love writing, photography, and I want to travel the world.

-Describe your personal style:
Hmmmm, well. I don't think I have an answer to that, but I'll tell you what I love: classic, well put together pieces with a touch of whimsy that always make the wearer look beautiful. my favorite color to wear is black. I have a lot of black and white!

-What is your favourite tree?
Oak

-What are you going to do after this?
(hopefully) finish reading Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carrol.

-What is your favourite fruit?
Apples

-What inspires you?
Beauty, nature, people, my own thoughts

-Your favourite books?
The Harry Potter series, A Girl Like Moi, To Kill a Mockingbird, the Twilight series, Atonement, and many more that I can't think of right now! Sorry, I'm a little out of it. "/

-What are you currently reading?
Through the Looking Glass

-What song would you like played at your funeral?
I have no idea.

-What delighted you the most today?
Watching Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List. She never fails to make me laugh!

-By what criteria do you judge a person?
Good hygene(how do you spell that??), good manners, the way they dress, the way they act towards other people, and if I like them or not.

-If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
London!

-Are you artistic or crafty? How does your passion show up in your life?
Generally, yes. I make my own collages for my room, I take all my own pictures, I write a lot in my free time, and on a good day I'm pretty good at drawing.

-With which historical figure do you most identify and why?
Hmmmm, I've never thought about this before. I'm not really sure.

-If you were to enter into a talent contest, what would your talent be?
I don't really have a talent that would be accepted into a talent contest!

-My question: If you had kids, what would you name them?
If I had a girl, her possible names would be:
Charlotte(Charlie) Lola
Dahlia Elizabeth
Violet Joanne
Clara Joy

If I had a boy, his possible names would be:
Henry Jacob
Benjamin Harry
Adam Ronald
Ronan James
Roman James
Sebastian Henry

I shall tag:
anyone who wants to be!

Pale Appariton, Garden Love, and Floral Pajamas.

As of late, I have been very bored and completely void of inspiration. So yesterday I got really really bored and went outside to take pictures. I managed a few actually out in the open, but then it started to rain(which didn't really bother me that much, but mom made me get out of it) and I went in garage. I wasn't feeling so well either, so I'm a little paler than usual, I think.
P.S.-I love the blurryness. It was totally accedental, but I like it!

Not So Proper English

Creating polyvores is endless entertainment for me. It never fails that when I'm bored, it's polyvore time! Here are a few that I've created recently. ♥

Newspaper

As part of my end of the school year celebration I did some shopping and in H&M I found my favorite dress ever. It's got a quirky newspaper, rose, someone's face print and I am in LOVE.

I wish that I hadn't belted it though..it makes me look weird and disproportionate....but whatever, the dress is all that matters.
P.S.-Excuse the funky face, the sun was shining right in my eyes!

For You, Not Them

"The best thing about fashion is when women dress for themselves in the mirror, not for a man or to make another woman mad."

Only a few minutes ago, I was reading an article in the June 2009 issue of Elle magazine titled Self-Service. Surrounded by the small piece is pictures from designers fall 2009 collections, most of which are still a bit 80s inspired, but sprinkled with a few 40s.
The writing itself is very nice, but I love the message it gives; dress for yourself! Yes, it's nice to have men think that you look beautiful, but you yourself need to think that you look beautiful. I know thats what inspires me in the morning when I pick out my clothes.

Studying for Exams...maybe "/ ????

Allllllll this week (except wednesday) I have exams! It's horrid, really, it is. Yesterday was English, which was probably going to be the easiest, and the first essay we had to do was on the nature of boyhood friendships(I'm a girl, how the heck am I supposed to know?!) and it was actually sort of difficult. We had to read two passages and then write an essay. Usually I'm good at essays, but I struggled a bit with this one.
Today is Global studies, which, hopefully, will be not to bad. Wednesday I have a review scession for Biology, Thursday in the morning I have German and in the afternoon is the Biology regents "/ oh dear. Then Friday is Math. "/ I'm scared.
But on the bright side, after this week I have two whole months off! Plus a few weeks! YAY

So right now while I'm supposed to be studying for Global, I'm typing this. But I promised myself that at 10:00 I will start studying.

and of course I'm still in my jammies (:

Glowing White

People have told me how white I am, but I never fully realized it until I saw my legs in these pictures. Well, I have realized it (I literally have a pearly glow around my legs when I swim in dark water), but wow! I'm really, deathly pale. I love it.

Baggy Denim

You know those capri's that I posted on here a few days ago? I got them! And wore them today! I love them! I'm super excited about it! Can't you tell?
Anywho, they're really comfortable and a little loose, but a belt can fix that. I wore them with my sea foam green PacSun V-neck and my favorite H&M necklace.

Last night I got a spa pedicure, using the giftcard I recieved for my birthday. I've been to the place several times before and depending on who you get, they do a really nice job.
This time when I went though, I really didn't like the girl I had, my razorburn felt like it was on fire, and the girl didn't even rub my feet(my favorite part!). I really like the color, but I thought it was going to be a lot darker.
God, I'm such a complainer "/

High Waists

I am recently in love with high-waisted skirts. Granted, I only have the one, but I am longing for more! They're very comfortable, and I like the way they look on me. (:

Summer Checklist

For me, I will officially be on summer vacation in two weeks. It's so close that I can taste it! It cannot come soon enough. Finals need to be done. Goodbyes need to be said, and a whole new world needs to begin. You know that world were you have no time schedual, you lose track of what day it is, nothing feels weird but nothing feels quite right, and when the sun goes down you just have more fun? I miss it.

I don't really have any set plans for this summer, other than working at girl scout camp as a P/A for two weeks and having at least a week and a half of being home alone. I do know that I want to spend some time downtown at Freedom of Espresso, maybe eat some good food, see some cute college boys. Who knows? I'm just going to go with the flow.

So to go with my flowing mood, I'm going to need some new summer clothes.
