Rainy Outside Day

Today was one of my favorite kinds of weather; rainy and overcast. No, I am not depressed and no, I am not emo. I just love the rain! It's so serene and calm and wonderful.

In my garden we recently planted more flowers and they are so pretty! My favorites are the Dragonlilies.

The only thing that sucks about it being rainy and overcast is that it was very muggy this morning. Last night my mom and I went shopping and I two of the things I got were new skinny jeans and a longish denim skirt(I've never had one before! I love it!).

Isn't the Iris gorgeous?

As you may have seen in some other posts, most of my property is wooded. On days like today it's very mysterious looking, almost fairy-tale like. Today though it made me think of the Forbidden Forest in the Harry Potter series.

Doesn't it just look magical? It makes me want to explore. I couldn't though "/ we had to leave "/

Memorial Day, Waterbeds, and Peace

I'm a little late on posting, but as many of you (should) know, this past Monday was Memorial Day.
Every year my mom, dad, and I go down to visit DG, see the town parade, my mom goes on her shopping spree, and we eat chicken BBQ.
The parade was adorable, and my mom went a little crazy. They have a second hand store right in the village inside a very old church. It's not very big, but my mom loves it! It's not exactly my cup of coffee, but hey, whatever floats your boat, right?

Sorry for the horrible picture, I was uncomfortably perched on the floor "/ I had to sit down though! I did not find a single thing in there. I was very disappointed. Mom, on the other hand, found about 20 things! and bought them all!

Ah yes, waterbeds. So comfy, yet such a pain in my butt! My parents sleep on one that they've had for 13 years, and it sprang 3 leaks, so they obviously had to get a new one. As I type, they are pumping water into the new one. We have well water and all the water that has to go in the bed it taking all of our pressure away, and now I can't take a shower tonight "/ and it's my day!(I take one every other day). I'm pissed.

I'm finally not mad at my friend! My mood is just sort of 'whatever' toward the whole thing. If she wants to be friends with me then great! But if she doesn't, then it's her loss.

Verbenia Days

Yesterday when I went to the farmer's market my mom and I picked up LOADS of flowers for our garden. My favorites are the verbenia hanging baskets. They smell soo complteley lovely and are so delicately pretty.

Right now I am...

Wishing: That it was acceptable to just hang out with your parents, not have that many close friends(not even a best friend...), and to dress however the hell I want.

Needing: A new best friend

Eating: Potato salad

Drinking: I wish I had some hardcore alchohol, but that's not going to happen so I'm just going to settle for water

Feeling: Pretty shity, but that's ok I guess.

Maddnesss, Market, Moping

Why are people so difficult? I really don't understand.

My 'best friend' Shelby is very...superficial, bitchy, selfish, and a compulsive liar. If there's one thing that I hate, it's lying.
I've known her literally my whole life(we were neighbors when we were little, up until I was 4, and then we went to the same elementary school, and then about two years ago we became best friends. We don't go to the same highschool and she's 4 years older than me) and for the past two years I've watched her lie to people, ditch people, and just be her fake, Holister-loving self. But at the same time she was my best friend. We did everything together and we had so much fun even though we're so different. Because she's 18 she has her licence and has for the past two years so she's always call and just say, "I'm coming to get you, we're going ----" and I loved that! We always had a blast, even if it was just going to KFC instead of the gym.
In the back of my mind, though, I've always sort of known how it was all going to turn out. It all started at the beginnining of March. Everything was fine, but we started not talking as much and she started partying every weekend with her new bestfriend, melissa. Pretty soon we were only talking when she wanted to talk, when she wanted to hang out. It was always about her, too. She never wanted to do what I wanted to do. And for the past three weeks, we've only talked three times, which is strange. We used to talk everyday. Then last Friday we had made plans in the middle of the week to go to Panera for dinner and then do a little shopping. So I called her Friday afternoon to make sure the times and such, and she was at a lacrosse game! With someone else and was like, "oh, yeah, I can't go. Sorry. Love you, by!" and hung up. I was so mad. She didn't even call to tell me. If she had, I'd be fine with that.
Then today we were supposed to go to the local farmers market with my mom to get flowers for the cemetary and our garden. I've been texting her all week reminding her about it, making sure that she was still going. When I talked to her yesterday, she was like, "Well, I have to get my dress altered in the morning, but I'll meet you guys there. I really want to go!" and she kept saying how much she wanted to go. I got on AIM this morning and her away message said, "With Melissa and Dave allllllll day (:" I was so mad that she had lied to me. So I texted her and said, "Hey, are you still going with us today???" and she was said, "No, probably not, I'm not having a good day and I got my period REALLY bad!" so that's when I knew she was lieing because she never gets her period bad.
So needless to say, I'm out of a bestfriend. Oh, and I'm supposed to be hanging out with my friend Karli right now, but she canceled on me too.
Am I really that strange? I mean, I know I'm kind of boring, but I can't be that bad. This is the second best friend whose done this to me.

So now I guess I'm going to watch the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, mope around, and try not to cry.

Ocean, Sand, Happiness, Relief

I find myself dreaming more and more of going back to Cape Cod. I went two summers ago and completely fell in love with it. The weather was perfect, the ocean was heartbrakingly beautiful. I miss the sound of the waves crashing into the shore, seeing all the crazy surfers in the freezing cold water, the amazing sea food. Most of all the nice relaxed feeling that my brain harbored. This is the end of my freshman year of highschool and therefor my first year of regents. We're getting down to were we're constantly reviewing, the teachers stressing how that if we don't pass the regents then we can't graduate. How nice would it be to just get away and walk on a beach? The gently sound of the sea playing in the background while I read a book or just walked.

Crazy Cat!

My neighbor has this ginger cat, whom their daughter named Shaggy T. But when they frist got it and it was this teeny little kitten, my mom and I were taking down the trash when it came trotting across the road to me! Right in front of a car! So I re-named it Lucky and now Crookshanks because man does that thing look like Hermione Grangers cat Crookshanks.
Anywho, she's an outdoor cat and she LOVES our property. So pretty much everyday in the spring when I get home from school she's frolicking in our yard and I can't resist playing with her for a bit.

Stalking her prey...(there really was something there...that was when I went inside...)

Today is my 15th birthday! School wasn't that great(I bombed a math test, got annoyed by this infuriating kid, and got two mounds of homework...). But other than that it was great.

It's been a very good birthday weekend as well.
On Friday night I was going to go out to Panera Bread with my friend, but then she ditched me for a lacrosse game, and so I convinced my parents to take me. I'm really glad because it was really fun! I had brocolli cheddar soup in a sourdough breadbowl, an apple, a few bites of my mom's ceasar salad, and half a sandwitch. I was so full! But it was worth it. Then because there's an Old Navy right down the plaza from Panera we went there and I got a new bathing suit, a black cardigan(which I've been in dire need of), a black tank top, and a black scarf. It's funny because I didn't even realize that everything I got was black until I got home...
Then on Saturday we went to the casino that's an hour away. My dad has the same birthday as me, and he can gamble, so my parents had a lot of fun while I stayed in the cafe reading The Merchant of Venice. "/ 3 more years! Then after that we ate in the Season's Harvest buffet, which is no country buffet. They have gourmet chefs cook your food right on the spot and everything is soooo amazing! My favorites are the meatballs, sushi, garlic bread, and pretty much everything!
Then on Sunday we went out to a little place called Nestico's and I had bowtie pasta with marinara sauce. Very tasty (:
And today is my actual birthday! This morning I got up at around 6 so that I could watch myself be on the news. I don't know if any other station does it, but one of our local one's has the 'Champions' thing where on your birthday if you send your picture in they put you on the news. Well, my mom's done it since I turned 8, so I watched that. It's actually really embarrassing! Oh well. Then I opened my presents! I got gift cards for American Eagle Outfitters, Forever 21, H&M, Starbucks, and one to get a spa pedicure (: A travel mug from Starbucks(so that I don't have to carry my coffee in my funny looking thermos...), the complete first season of Sex and the City, three eco friendly totes, and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. I was really excited about my Shakespeare book because I thought there was no way I was going to get it. (:

Isn't it marvelous?! I love Willy...

Just now my family came over for cake and presents. It was really nice and my cake was very good (:

Black, White, Purple, and Sunshine

Today was a very good day. I wore my new leggings that I absolutely love and the weather was perfect. So, of course, I couldn't resist stumping around the grounds of my house and taking pictures of all the little things that caught my eye.

I'm not quite sure what the purple flowers are called, but I love the shape of them. I do know that the swirly green plants are called Hens and Chickens. DG gave them to me (:

The leggings. Are complete and utter love.
