Tag! I'm It!

I love being tagged. It just makes me feel special :D ♥ thanks Kait(wildtendency.blogspot.com, check it out!)! You're the best.

So now I get to post 10 interesting things about myself. Hmmmm...this should be interesting as to what I think of.

1) No one in my real life knows about this blog, and I intend to keep it that way. If you came up to me on the street and asked me about it, I would deny that I am the girl who writes it. I don't necessarily know why, but I like keeping it my little secret.

2) I love reading Shakespeare. For my last birthday my parents bought me the complete works, and I was thrilled. Shakespeare's work is beyond beautiful, and some nights it's his words that lull me to sleep. Currently I'm reading A Midsummer Night's Dream.

3) One minute I know what I want to be when I grow up and the next I'm second-guessing it. I'm going to be a sophmore, so I really want to seriously start thinking about college.

4) I cannot wait to start college. I'm really not liking high school! But then I know that once it's over I'll miss it.

5) I love taking pictures of everything, but I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very good at it. Mainly because where I shoot there is not even ground haha

6) I know this is sort of gross, but I never wash my jeans or any sort of bottoms for that matter(besides underwear, yes I do wash those!). They don't get dirty and I think washing them washes out all the little memories. But thats just me.

7) Every year at our state fair I have to hold a baby chick ^.^ I did yesterday!

8) Of all my teachers, I only have three that are girls, and I prefer it that way. I always seem to get along with male teachers better.

9) And now to condradict #8, most of my friends are girls. I only have 3 or 4 guys that I talk to on a regular basis and that I would call my friends.

10) I eat at least three Hershey's milk chocolate kisses a day. I cannot survive without them!

So last night was the Darius Rucker concert! It was amazing and I wish you could see it but sadly you can't, because idiot me forgot her camera. ): ): I was very sad. But he was sooooooooooooooo good. And actually sort of handsome in a way hehe

(My serious 'chef' face)

I am not a chef, nor am I Italian, but man do I love pizza. Especially when I make it myself. Orignally the dough was for me, myself, and I to eat on Monday, but then we realized that there was no food for tonight! So I made my pizza for Mom, Dad, and I.

Ingredients...

Baking...

Still baking...

While the pizza baked, I went over and visited my biggest fan, my cat Jonathan. He looks so enthused, doesn't he? I thought so...

It's done!...

Twas vair vair yummy. You should make some too!

Oh, guess what I'm doing tomarrow?????

What I Bought

See, I told you I'd be back with pictures! (:

Like I said, I shopped mostly at American Eagle Outfitters(at the mall we went to there sadly wasn't an H&M or a Forever 21 "/ oh well, American Eagle is one of my favorites as well).

1) Two new pairs of jeans. (Slim Boot cut in Authentic Wash, Skinny in Faded Black)(Oh, oh, oh, and guess who went down a size? Thats right, I did! :D)

2) Suede Ballet Flat in black

3) Dolman Sleeve Sweater in Bell Navy. (sorry about the weird picture..)

4) Cable Scoop Sweater in Lively Green. (I don't own anything this color and it looks really nice with my hair color and eyes, so I thought, "why not?")

5)
Some earrings that were on sale and that I thought were pretty ♥ I adore drop earrings.

Eye shadow blender brush from The Body Shop. When I first went in I realized that the price had gone up from $12 to $18 and I only had $15 left on me so I had to go back out to the bench where my mom was. But then when I went to pay for it, it turned out that I only had $13! But luckily the people working(one of which was a very gay black guy x]) took 10% off because I was only the second person who had come in to buy something. It came to $17.25 and I had just enough! I was very happy. I love when random people that you don't even know are really nice to you.

Some long knit socks that I got for $5.99 each at JC Penny. They each come with five pairs! Yay! I love socks ♥; anywho, I look forward to trying out the trend of wearing them over my jeans and just above my boots. Sounds ridiculously ugly, but I really like it for some reason. And if it does look silly on me then I have lots of socks to keep me warm!
*I can't find a picutre of it, but I know for sure some models were sporting it. Hmmm...I must keep searching!*

Shopping

Yay, my mom took me back to school shopping today! The only store I went to was American Eagle Outfitters and I got pretty much everything I wanted, and more. I'll put pictures up as soon as I take some!

I hope you have a lovely day ♥

Fall Wishlist

Today is August 23, 2009. All summer long, every time I've gone shopping, I've bought at least one thing that could go from summer to fall easily, or just for fall.
Fall clothes are my favorite kind. You get to layer comfy yet chic fabrics, the colors are rich and warm, and I just all around feel better in them. So as you can imagine, I LOVE back to school shopping. The most important thing that I buy when I go back to school shopping is my first-day-of-school outfit. It's always very important because it sets the tone for how you'll dress for the rest of the year.
Right now I have no idea what I'll be buying for that oh-so important first day back, but I do know some things that I have to have.

Plain white t, NYC red graphic t, short sleeve navy blue cardigan, super-skinny antique wash jeans, ruby red ballet flats (<--- all American Eagle Outfitters), dark charcoal gray tunic (<--- Forever 21), cut-out ballet flats in black and gray (<--- Old Navy), poppy print ballet flats (<--- the Gap), classic ribbed socks (<--- the Gap).

Of course I might not get ALL of it, but I definatley want to try.

Whats on your fall wishlist?

BYOS(Bring Your Own Shovel)

I love that Regina Spektor song! I'm listening to it as I type, and smiling all the time. So clever and funny and WHO would think of that? I love her. I'm on a youtube kick at the moment, mostly involving Regina Spektor. I only recently came upon her music and I really really like it.

Yesterday was a pretty good day, aside from some minor setbacks. I got to sleep in, which surprisingly I don't do very often(I hate being asleep and home alone, and I'm home alone almost everyday). Then my mom and I went to my favorite little restaurant downtown called Pastabilities and it was soooooo delicious! Unbelievable. I got this pasta salad thing with blue cheese, walnuts, some amazing tasting sauce, and red and yellow pepper slices. Oh, and a side of fruit. Why is it that the purple grapes taste better than the green ones? I don't know either.
After that I had a doctors appointment for my yearly checkup. Since last year, I've lost nearly 20 pounds! The best part is that I didn't do anything to get rid of it!! It just came off :D It went very well.
After that we went to see the movie Julie&Julia. I adore that movie. Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci really were were Julia and Paul Child. Amy Adams were also really great. The whole movie was just really charming and cute. I can't wait til the DVD comes out!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

For my first time ever driving, I think I did really well. I stayed inside the lines (we were in a parking lot, don't worry), didn't go over 11-12 mph, and only slammed on the brakes once(on accident). I can't wait to do it again!!! :D

Style.com

Not even ten minutes ago I discovered style.com and I have fallen head over heels in love! It's really quite amazing. I've yet to explore all it's wonders, but I'm sure I'll peel back all it's layers soon enough. But for right now I'm loving looking at these pictures.

He looks so dapper.

100th post!!

Wow, this is my 100th post! It doesn't feel like that many at all!

Today's weather is absolutely gorgeous. It's breezy, sunny, and cool. I'm wearing my favorite Madeline shirt, a jean skirt that doesn't get worn enough, and my trusty gladiator sandals. Mix all that together and you get these!

Ergh

Lately I have been completely devoid of inspiration but filled to the brim with utter boredom. As Kate Nash sings in her song Habenera,

I'd like to be able to write but I can't seem to find the words.

how true is that?

Tag! I'm it!

I have been tagged by the lovely Kait from Wild Tendency. You really should check out her blog, it's very amazing. :D
(http://wildtendency.blogspot.com/)

So, now I get to post 7 interesting things about myself. Sorry if my 'interesting' things aren't very interesting haha.

1) I have always been very tall for my age, yet now people are finally catching up to me. It's rather sad, I like being taller than most people. I guess 5'7" just isn't good enough. I would much rather be 5'9". That would be amazing.

2) As of late I have been rather obsessed with Flickr. The odd thing is that I myself don't post picture very often, and when I do they're sort of boring. I love just searching through all my contacts favorites and admiring other people's stunning work.

3) I hate summer. Most people look at me like it's a crime when I say this to them, but it's very true. The weather is too hot and humid, the clothes we are forced to wear are too revealing and far too uncomfortable for my liking, and it's so boring. Blech. I'm craving autumn's cool breezes and the need for scarves.

4) In the past few weeks I have discovered the wonder of nutella on toast. The best thing you will ever eat, trust me. You must try it!

5) Although I am horrible at dancing or any sort of movement at all, I really want to start learning ballet.

6) I've had the same group of close friends for most of my life.

7) I love names. When I get bored I go on babynames.com and just search through all the names.

now I'm supposed to tag people, but I don't feel like it, so if you read this then consider yourself tagged (:

Best Fried Friends

My best friend Karli and I have been best friends since kindergarten. We went to see The Ugly Truth yesterday (it was soooo good! I love Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler) and then we came back to my house and just hung out blasting Lil Wayne(yes, I actually like Lil Wayne) and just other random music while we took goofy pictures and talked about random stufff. Twas very fun (:

She drew a picture of me haha. "/
