Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday J. K. Rowling! I know there is no chance that you will read this, but I would just like to say that I am very glad that you were born. ♥

Happy birthday Harry as well! I don't care that you are a fictional character, you will always live on in my heart ♥

how amazingly corny was that ? (:

Right Now...

I would love,
-for it to be the middle of autumn, with crisp leaves falling from the trees and a cool breeze playing off my face.
-a nice warm mug of the best hot chocolate to be in my hands.
-a good book to entertain my mind.
-big overstuffed armchairs to be strategically placed all over my living room.
-a roaring fire in an oversized fireplace.
-for it not to be summer.

I know I am quite strange. I know that I am out of the ordinary. I know that I really do not like the summer season. It's too hot, I hate the clothes that we have to wear(i.e. shorts, tank tops), and I am endlessly bored and tired no matter what I do.

Journal

Early last week I bought myself a journal from Barnes & Noble. I'm really excited about writing in it because I've never actually had one specific place where I do my writing. So far I have a little introduction, one character profile, a little blurb from me, and 3/4 of another character profile. Sorry this is such a short and boring post "/ I've just finished camp and I'm really bummed. I'm going to miss all the friends I made and all the girls, they were so cute. Two weeks is not nearly enough.

Lake Town

Today was quite a lovely day. It started out as any other Saturday morning, with me feeling like a loser for not having plans and also being extremely tired(still, from being at camp alllll week). But then my best friend called and had a wonderful idea; that we should, along with my mom, go to this small, gorgeous lake town about half an hour away from our city.
We spent the whole afternoon window shopping, sipping iced coffee, looking at the gorgeous water and antique boats, and just having a very nice day. My words cannot do it justice.

Brown University

As many of you know, I am an avid Harry Potter fan and therefor a fan of the actors who play my favorite characters, especially Emma Watson, Tom Felton, Dan Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint. But Emma is byfar my favorite.

Early this year I recieved a letter in the mail from Brown University inviting me to come to sort of a pre-college experience for the summer there. I (obv.) didn't go, although I really wanted to. I'm only going into my sophmore year, and it would have been a lot of money(that we don't really have). Ever since then though I've been looking into that college and I really love it, and it's been my top college to look at when I'm a junior and possibly to attend after I gruduate from high school. And guess who is going there in the fall? EMMA WATSON! I think it's fate that I shall attend there. She will be a senior when I'm a freshman (:

I Vow To...

I know, it's a little early to be thinking about school, but I just can't help myself. A new school year to me a is a new chance to change up my style a bit and try out new things. I'm very excited and have already started planning. Also I vow to wear what I want to wear and not give a damn what people say about me. If they like it, great, and if they don't, oh well. That is that.

Some things I'm really looking forward to:
-eyeshadow! This year I really want to start wearing it. I know it's a simple little thing, but I've never worn it much before. What are some good shades for my skin and eyes? I wear mostly black and white, so I was thinking some silvers and beiges, just to keep it simple-ish for school.
-black! It's a staple in my wardrobe, so I'm really glad that I it's a fall trend. Black is the only color that you can wear head to toe and not look odd(sometimes). I also love that you can wear it so many different ways. One day you can look gothic and the next sophisticated.
-red! I have only a few(if that) red pieces and I really want it to be my fall color. Is it odd that I always pick a season color for myself? I don't really think so, but whatever. I think it's mainly going to be shown in shirts, but I really want to find a pencil skirt or leggings in red or crimson or maybe blood red. Ooh, that would be cool.
-breaking away from jeans! I need to stop wearing jeans everyday. Even if they are black or a really dark wash. I'm starting to resent them. But at the same time I don't want to look too dressy for school. Or do I?
-nail polish! I have promised myself that there will be no more chips on my fingers. They look horrible and make me feel sort of trashy in a way. I'm going to stock up on lots of different colors as well. I'm getting sick of my usual black or red. I found some really pretty shades from Sephora as mentioned in an earlier post that I really want to get my hands on.
-blouses! I really want a simple white blouse. I want it to be simple yet pretty. Not too much, but just enough.
-blazers! I need a simple and thin navy blue or black, oh! or really dark green blazer that I can belt and wear with a cute t-shirt and jeans. That would be awesome, wouldn't it?
I will update as more ideas strike me. I do have a whole month after all ♥;

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

I saw it yesterday at midnight. At the moment when it was over I was very diappointed, but in the last hours I have accepted that it's pretty impossible for the movie-makers to get everything exactly right. When I put the book aside(very painful to do, I must say) it is a very good movie. Visually spectacular, the best yet actually. The actors all portray their character's beautifully, especially Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. Her and Hermione's range of emotion is spot-on and she is such a scene stealer.

So, things that I loved:
1) All of the Ron/Lavender/Hermione scenes. Jessie Cave is such an amazing Lavender, just how I pictured her to act and look.
2) When we see the bridge in the beginning being destroyed by the Death Eaters. I really like how they did the whole first part where instead of just hearing about all the havic, we see it. Very well done.
3) Cormac McLaggen. He was fantastic! And attractive (:
4) Snape. Alan Rickman is also spot-on when playing him.
5) Any scene with Bellatrix Lestrange. She is so deliciously evil x]
6) Draco. Tom Felton did such a good job. *applauds*
7) The Inferi were really just cool.
8) Quidditch, they did such a fantastic job of getting it's violent side. And I was SO HAPPY that they included Hermione cunfunding Cormac! yay!
The things I hated:
1) That Dumbledore asked about Harry's love life! He would never do that!
2) The Ginny and Harry kiss. Not romantic, not long enough, just horrible.
3) When Ginny would tie Harry's shoes or feed him pie. That would never happen!!! Ever! Maybe when they're in their 70s and happily married, but not when they are teenagers. Just, NO.
4) The Burrow burning. Yes, visually really cool but it just bugs me. It didn't need to be there.
5) Just the fact that they left SO much out. I.e., Dumbledore's funeral(that one is the most infuriating), the battle at Hogwarts, the Dursley's, just random little things that I felt should have been included.
6) They skipped around sooo much. The whole movie was very choppy.
7) Lupin and Tonks are supposed to get together at the end!! Not just suddenly be together! Tonks is supposed to pine for him throughout the whole thing! It's supposed to be romantic! Not make it sound like he's got a period!(am I the only one who caught that?)

All in all, it wasn't bad. Not completely amazing and breathtaking, but alright. I'm definatley going to see it again though.

My shirt and excited face before the movie

My friend and fellow Harry Potter fanatic Liz and I

Showing off my Gryffindor pride

Liz drew the Dark Mark on her arm while we were waiting with eyeliner haha.

Also while we were waiting we saw loads of other people dressed up, it was pretty awesome. There were several Dumbledore's, but I think this guy was the best

Oh, and I was chatted up by a really cute guy dressed as Harry. I never found out his name but decided to call him(not to his face obviously) Hot Harry (:

HBP

IT'S TONIGHT!!!!!!! I'm leaving in a few hours to go see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince tonight at midnight! I'm excited and really really angry at the same time. Excited because from what I've seen in clips the movie looks really good, but really angry because they've changed/deleted SO much. Just minutes ago I found out that the battle inside Hogwarts was CUT, along with Dumbledore's funeral, both are very important in the book. How could David Yates do that to us Potter fans? He's already fucked up Order of the Phoenix, and now he's going to do the same to Half-Blood Prince? And possibly even Deathly Hallows. I swear to God that if he messes up Deathly Hallows I will hunt him down and kill him. Really, that's how passionate I am about Harry Potter. &^(^$%^%#^%^&*^%^$%#^%&*(^*(&()_&*^^$%^JKHUIT^&%Y*^%$#^*I GOT IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY!!!

Wants, Needs, and Excitement

hello all. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been sooooo busy with camp! It's exhausting being a PA! But it's so worth it. All my campers are so adorable and working with them is so rewarding. wow that sounds so corny! But it's true. ♥

Wants:
Lately I've been on the search for the perfect nail color. I'm sick of my usual black and red. I have one nail polish from Sephora by OPI and I am in love with it. It's called Queen of Everything and it's a silveryish color. It's really quite amazing. But I want more! Some other colors I want to get are...

I'm Wired-
Under My Trench Coat-
Metro Chic-
oh, and Queen of Everything-
some other things from Sephora that I hope to pick up (with the help of the points my dad uses on his credit card. Once I have enough, basically it will all be free! (:

Needs:
Sleep. Lots and lots of sleep. Last night I went to a Nickleback concert with my best friend, two of her friends(whom I'm sort of friends with. we've only met a few times here and there), her sister(who I am very good friends with), her cousin, her cousin's boyfriend, and her sister's friend. Needless to say we had fun. The car ride there with my friend's mom driving was insanely fun(she is so entertaining!). Then we got to the concert(a little late "/), and sadly missed the first band(I didn't know them, so it was fine with me). Then Papa Roach and Hinder played(AMAZING!) and then finally Nickleback. We had grass seats so everyone was standing, dancing, and having a great time. After the concert we sat in the parking lot for an hour waiting for everyone to get out and then we had to wait another have hour before we actually made it out. At 2 o'clock this morning we stopped at mcdonald's on the thruway and we stole a bunch of straws and popped them haha. I had chicken nuggets (: pretty tasty. We finally got back to my friend's house at 3:30 in the morning and we didn't go to bed until 5 o'clock this morning. I woke up at 10 o'clock. Needless to say, I am exhausted! But it was so worth it. I'm really sad though because all the pictures I took are on my phone, and I can't upload them onto here ): sorrrryyyy.

Excitement:
Three more day's until Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
