Speak to Trees

In English class we started the book Speak today. I'm on page 20, and I love it so far. One thing that is really cool about it is how real it is. The main character, Melinda, is a total outcast that no one likes in 9th grade. I'm in 9th grade and I can sort of relate to not having a lot of friends. Not that I'm hated, but I'm not exactly part of the popular crowd, and here I am on a friday night with no plans.
Anywho, in the book Melinda describes her art teacher and how cool he is. He has a globe that has a big hole where texas is supposed to be. Inside the globe are a bunch of little red papers that have one word written on them and the students have to take that word and use it for the rest of the year to create their projects. Melinda's word is Tree. How cool would that be to get to work with trees? Sculpt trees, draw trees, write about trees, everything! I am so jelous. Not that any of my trees would be good, but still. I could come up with hundreds of ideas, and it would be oh so fun.

I got this off of The Tea Drinking English Rose..fun fun!

*What are you wearing now? victoria's secret PINK sweatpants, an Old Forge navy hoodie, and slippers. I've been having a lazy day.
What’s the last thing you read/are currently reading? well I was in the process of reading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen when I decided to switch to my lovable favorite, Harry Potter. Then today in English class we started reading Speak.
Do you nap a lot? Not really, only short little ones on the bus ride home(I get off last..)
Who was the last person you hugged? my mommy
What’s your current obsession/addiction? Harry Potter as always, writing, chocolate, and music.
Which item from your closet are you wearing most lately? Hmmm thats a tuffy. I'd have to say skinny jeans and my black uggs, seeing as it's winter.
What's for dinner? I had a fish sandwich that wasn't all that great and then a chocolate cream pie peice whose bottom was hard "/ I was disappointed.
What was the last thing you bought? uhh...a bracelet that I wish I hadn't. but it was only 4 dollars!
What are you listening to right now? Caroline's a Victim-Kate Nash
If you could have any super power, what would it be? invisibility
What is your favorite weather, and why? rain on a warm spring day. I love the smells and seeing all the flowers afterward.
What time do you usually get up? On school days around 7 but on weekends around 9
What is your most challenging goal right now? school!
Say something to the person who tagged you: I love all you little poems and pictures, and you mouse is the cutest! It makes me want one!
If you could have a house–totally paid for, fully furnished–anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be? I would want a little cottage in Ireland or England. Or a loft in New York City...or London. I can't decide!
Favorite vacation spot? Cape Cod, but I would love to visit the Irish countryside.
What is your favorite item of clothing? skinny jeans and rings
Favorite pair of shoes you keep going back to over and over, even though your closet is overflowing with a zillion others: my black uggs(because it's winter and very chilly) and my polka-dot sketchers. They are love.
Name one thing you cannot live without: love.
What time is bed time? around 10:30 ish. I love sleeping.
If you could be somewhere right now. where would it be? Ireland

  4. Eve, I also have a hard time coming up with themes! Once people give me some inspiration it's so much easier.

La Fee, Kate Nash is amazing.
