Here is a little poem that I wrote for my Creative Writing class. I wouldn't say that poetry is one of my stronger suits, but I really love my poem.

There once was a man made of sand
He dreamed of visiting far away lands
Traveling far and wide
With no one to be snide.
The rolling hills all green
He could feel so serene
But with threats of being blown away
Traveling he could not stay.

  1. enjoyed it!
a popular thing to say is "i want to see the world" but not everyone can. Sometimes there is something holding the person back and as much as they want to follow their dreams, they can't -- or just don't believe they can.

  2. that's quite a nice little poem! i love to write poetry, but i never really have enough time to do it ;)

  3. Thanks, all! The whole sand thing just popped into my head and I decided to go with it. And land rhymes with sand (:

  4. i really like it!
i find it difficult to create characters in my poems,
but your is really, really good :)
